Why do we blame?

It is said that a bad mood is often the reason for blaming others, and blaming others often causes bad feelings in us.

What a vicious cycle! Both metaphorically and literally.

Which comes first? The bad mood or the blame?

For many people, they come at the same time, one reinforcing the other.

Why do we blame others?

We blame others because others fail to live up to our expectation.

We blame others because we feel bad about some people even if they’ve done nothing bad to us.

We blame others because we see the speck in their eyes while neglecting the log in ours.

Sometimes, we blame others just to hide the embarrassment we feel in us.

Oftentimes, we blame others for our own mistakes, simply because it’s easier than to blame ourselves.

We blame because we hate being blamed.

We blame in order to avoid being blamed.

So we blame others, only to get more bad moods in which to blame more.
