What’s Special About April 24?

Another man began touring the world.

Apr 24, 1895 — Joshua Slocum, a Canadian-American seaman and adventurer began his voyage around the world from Boston, USA.

He had sailed 46,000 miles (74,000 km) in three years, two months, and two days.

He was the first person to sail single-handedly around the world.

In 1900 he published a book about his journey, “Sailing Alone Around the World”.
