We don’t make anything
We don’t make money. We earn it from other people but we say ‘make money’, as though money were something that didn’t exit before we invented it.
Only those who work in a mint make money, literally, yet they don’t make it for themselves.
Love is not made, but we say ‘make love’, as though love is something that can be created from a piece of paper or a pile of some material.
Only those who have lost their sense of love can make love, though it is no more the same.
