Secret Thoughts 07: In the elevator
Have you ever had one of those moments when you are in the elevator to work with AirPods in your ears?
There is only you in the cabin — what a rare moment of aloneness in the rush hours!
Just when you are about to enjoy a quiet ride, a colleague steps in.
You wave a silent “hi” toward them, grab your cell phone, and point to your AirPods, mouthing in lip language, “Meeting.”
The colleague waves back with an “okay” and turns to their cellphones.
The only problem is that the elevator wall is made of mirrors, and you were not sure if they saw you were watching a movie on your iPhone.
There is no meeting. You just don’t feel like talking in the morning.
