Gratitude 365: McDonald’s new crunchy burger.
Three great things that happened today:
1.If you keep saying you will do something but keep delaying doing it, it means it’s something you hate to do. There are no other explanations. Today, I started working on a company document that I had postponed for months. Once it began, the task was not as obnoxious as I thought.
2.There are McDonald’s ads in the elevator that I have seen several times a day for several weeks. Today, we finally tried the new tantalizing burger — indeed crunchy as the ads tout.
3.My wife has decided to write a book about a complicated program she pioneered last year. I am happy for her, more pleased than I had written a book myself. Charles Chaplin said, “Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy in long-shot.” I say, “Life is full of assholes and jerks when you are too focused on it. Life is more than that if you look up and ahead.” I am excited about my wife’s first book.
